Huê Advisors 1968–1969
Welcome Home, Y'all!
Web Sites for Veterans, Especially Advisors
Were you an advisor in Huê in 1968 or 1969? With the 101st? With the 1st Cav?
I’m looking for anyone who I might have known in those years and in that place. My old team was
- 1LT Mucha, USA — Still Can't Find Marty
- Gunny Starks, USMC — Les believes that Gunny died in the late 70's. He was living, we think, in San Diego area
- W. O. M. F. "Les" Foster (Australian)— Les is having some health problems, otherwise living in Brisbane
- W. O. Syd Wells — Syd died in the Fall of 2013 while he and
Ann were dowing what they loved the most. Vale.
Found some of these folks: Les Foster and Syd Wells from Australia, Frank Sodnicar.
Some of the other folks I remember were
- CPT Frank Sodnicar
- CPT Dave Shepard
- MAJ Charlie Bissel
- CPT Joe Bolt
- LTC Percy Fair
If you know me, or any of those folks, how about you send me email at steve@cs.clemson.edu or call me on the phone at (864) 656-5880 (office) or (864) 654-3365 (home).
Here’s some pictures I got off the net…I haven’t been back myself, but a friend of mine has. He was quite taken with the beauty of the restored City.
