Basketball Goal Simulation

CPSC 8170 Final Project Proposal

Overview

In this project I am going to create an animation of a basketball and goal based on what I have learned in this course. I will use rigid body dynamics to simulate the basketball with both rotational and linear motion. I will implement realistic collision response with the backboard and rim. I will use a springy mesh to simulate the net. The simulation will be able to tell whether or not the basketball goes through the net and give provide feedback in the animation.
