Homework must be typed (unless specified otherwise) and will be collected at the beginning of class on the date the homework is due. No homework will be accepted after the beginning of class (unless specified otherwise).

#1 (due Friday, October 6) 10 pts.

     Turn in a spreadsheet showing the following information:

          Your grades on the first 10 quizzes (include date and quiz number)
          The sum of the grades for the first 10 quizzes
          The average of the 8 best of these quizzes
          A statement of the percentage of the final grade assigned to quizzes.

          Your grades for the reading assignments (through Chapter 8)
          A statement of the percentage of the final grade specified for reading 
             assignments

     All numbers must be clearly labelled.
     Your name and the date must be typed on the page.
     Hand in exactly one 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.  Late homework will be accepted,  
        but will be subject to a 5 point penalty.  This homework will not be accepted
        after 8:00 a.m. Monday, October 9, but may be turned in early.
