I work in a test department for Tivoli/IBM performing system testing on Tivoli's Internet Security products. I help my manager by recruiting college kids to come intern/co-op with our department. We would like to recruit some kids that have actually studied testing in school, want to test (or think they do) and/or are interested in Internet Security. If you have any students like that - please give them my name and ask them to forward a resume. We do hire people just for the summer but they learn more if they can stay the summer and the fall. IBM/Tivoli will help relocate them for the job and pay a decent rate depending on how many hours they have completed in school. Here is the job descriptions The co-op position is in our System Verification Test (SVT) group for Tivoli Internet Security products. Our products include Policy Director, Policy Directory for Operating Systems, Policy Directory for MQSeries, Risk Manager, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and other security products. The majority of our products run across multiple operating system and hardware platforms including AIX, Solaris, HP, NT and W95/W98/W2000. We have a large lab (over 200 machines) that we use to exercise/test these products like a customer would but with the advantage of being able to make mistakes without bringing down a production environment. Each product has a SVT team consisting of 3-6 people assigned to test one or more of these products. In an SVT environment, you'll get to play lab technician, system architect, system administrator, application developer, and end user all in the same day. In summary, we need people with any experience or interest in security products that have cross platform experience (Intel & Unix). We are looking for people that are self motivated, with leadership abilities, and they must work well with others in a team oriented environment. This person must be willing to learn new products and have fun doing it. I would like for you to recommend me some good people. Thanks, Ann Tivoli - Internet Security Systems Testing (512) 436-9726
