Welcome to CpSc 472/672 for the Fall 2006 semester

I will be in class next Tuesday, in the office next Monday, and available on email (johnmc@cs.clemson.edu) everyday including today. Attached to the paper copy of this handout is the syllabus. Be certain to look over it and either email any questions or I can answer them when I return.

This semester we will explore the application of software engineering knowledge to building real products. We will go well beyond technical knowledge of programming to explore a number of issues.

We will use a variety of tools. Most of them will be integrated into the Eclipse environment. You need to get, if you don’t already have (June 2006 version), the latest version of Eclipse. Set up your environment before next class. Use this link to get the correct version:
