Model Checking

Do an engineering tradeoff among three model checkers. Use Java PathFinder, SPIN, and one other that you select. Assume that you are working in a company that makes embedded real-time devices for personal use (cell phones, travel assistants, automobile infotainment systems, etc.) Use the standard approach: (1) Identify criteria; (2) Prioritize the criteria; (3) Collect data on each model checker on each criteria; (4) Identify the best checker for the given criteria; (5) Write a report that summarizes the results and gives the recommendation. The report should include all references that you used in collecting evidence.

Due: prior to 12pm (Noon) Tuesday April 18, 2006
