CpSc 881 - Project 1 - Real-time Embedded Software
Phase 4 – Architecture Evaluation
The Architecture TradeOff Analysis Method (ATAM) is a technique by which the
decisions made during architecture definition are evaluated. They are evaluated
in terms of the degree to which the resulting architecture achieves the
required qualities. The results of the
ATAM are used to guide the next iteration of architecture definition.
Activities
- Contract with another group
to perform an evaluation of their architecture model
- Return to the results of
identifying quality attributes and the accompanying scenarios.
- Update the scenarios given
the additional insight into the system that you have gained.
- Apply the test cases to the
model
- Write an evaluation report
detailing your results
Evaluation Criteria
- Completeness of the coverage
of the architecture by the evaluation scenarios
