Tim, Thanks so much! This looks good. The condo association will be meeting to discuss funding sometime soon I hope. I do think they will proceed just don't know when. As we discussed this will be step 1. For step 2 we are proposing that The Town of Biltmore Forest install them on a wall in town hall as a wainscot in a similar way that they were mounted on the cottage. Do you have any idea what it would cost to restore them. I think they could be stained Very dark like they were originally or just painted a near flat black. I have used an liquid epoxy product called abatron http://www.abatron.com which also has a companion paste for exterior wood rot restoration. It is sandable and workable.
