Choose two of the films that we have screened. Research using professionaly edited or peer-reviewed articles and books, particularly articles from American Cinematographer and any film journals that you can find (rather than random posts on the Internet – you can use some of these, but you should try to find more authoratative sources first). Collect all sources for citation in a bib file.
Author an essay of sufficient depth that compares and contrasts the cinematography of the two films – technically, aesthetically, thematically, and in any other interesting comparisons of note that you may find. A goal would be to author a quality essay that could be submitted to a film journal for consideration of publication.
Write your article using LaTeX with bib citations (good practice for your thesis writing coming up soon) with a professional style and tone.
