Project Abstract

Mobile Appointment Scheduler

The appointment handler is designed to help professors and students handle their appointments in a convenient way through a cell phone. When the prof enters the office hours for a particular date the application divides it into slots of  30mins each using the datetime variables. The student can choose from these available slots for an appointment. This application allows students and professors to view and cancel their appointments. On cancellation it generates and sends an SMS to the other party.

The user accesses the DB by logging on to http://people.clemson.edu/~samarna/welcom.wml website through a cell phone. The web service and web application have been developed using Microsoft VB.NET. The php files acts as an interface between the DCIT machines and the web application residing on hogwarts. In order to have DCIT authentication, a C# module has been called using heterogeneous programming.
