A formal upright Redwood with shari that was done partly by pealing from the top of the tree and the balance with a knife. This was a 5 gal. nursery stock sale plant that costing $5 for about 10 years ago. We blunt cut the top and let the new leader establish itself before establishing the shari. The tree is 36 inches tall. In the growing season this tree gets some pinching on a daily basis.
