There's never a dull moment at the Sweaty Pig's Nipple Tavern. It's open mic night hosted by northern Michigan's finest, Joe. There's all walks of life at the tavern: a neurotic necromancer,a post modern German dadaist, a Brooklyn hack, and Sherman--an introvert. Things start to heat up as the poets compete for a grand prize of one hundred smackaroonies! Shot in the style of film noir, Open Mic Night captures the essence of poetry reading gone bad.Dan Farmer was the primary voice talent along with Cec Hall.Eddie Sams, composer and sound designer was responsible for all the audio elements of the short. The film had its television premiere on MTV's Cartoon Sushi, and was screened at the Seattle Poetry Festival in spring 1998.
